Croatian Euro2012 Soccer Jerseys, Get'em While You Can

I posted a few days ago about how to get tickets for matches and accommodations for the upcoming Euro2012 HERE.   I also decided to include some images of the new home and away jerseys that Croatia will be sporting for the tournament, as well as for the World Cup qualifying campaign through the whole of 2013.   For the soccer obsessed fanatic, , here is some more cool images of the jerseys. (I've seen photos of the numbers being all white, and like below, greyish-silver with white border, so I don't know which will be the official final version being used at Euro2012)  I really like this design though, more each time I see it.  I've read that there may be slight modifications before they are mass produced, but the essential design will stay intact. There have been rumours that Adidas or Puma may be the next supplier of the Croatian National Football team kit after the contract with Nike ends, sometime after the World Cup qualifying campaign. Adidas already outfits the Croatian national and olympic men's and women's basketball and handball teams, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them outfit our Soccer team.  More info about this edition from the links below.....

We already showed you what the Korean National team will be rocking for 2012/2013, and we’re back now with a look at one of Europe’s stronger squads and their new garments. The team in question is the Croatia National Team, whose basic color combo is the same as the good old USA but manages to make itself unique with the checked applique.

The sense of national pride is also evident in the detailing spread throughout, take for example the creed “Uvijek Vjern” inscribed on the inner collar, which translates to “Always Loyal”. The unis realize Nike‘s new commitment that aims for minimal environment impact as well as maximum performance, a goal we can certainly consider to have been achieved thanks to the 100% recycled polyester of the shorts and the 96% recycled materials on the shirts. Click through to get the full shots of the Croatia National team 2012/2013 away kit and stay with Freshness for the latest in Nike Soccer innovations.

Nike continues its recent string of strip launches with that of the Croatia EURO 2012 away kit. The new uniform will be the Vatreni (Blazers) road kit for the 2012/13 international season that includes the European championships and 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

According to Nike: Croatia’s new Away National Team Kit kit features the country’s famous red and white checks in an innovative, contemporary style.

Since gaining independence 21 years ago, Croatia’s unique kit has become an important and passionate symbol of the young country.

The away jersey is blue with a section of the torso revealing the country’s famous red and white checks, signifying that even when Croatia’s players are away from home their country is still close to their hearts.

Inside the neck is the message “Uvijek Vjern,” which translates as ‘Always loyal’, to celebrate the loyalty Croatians feel for their football team since becoming an independent nation.

The away shorts are blue. The away socks, now with improved cushioning for greater comfort, movement and protection, are also blue with a wide band featuring the red and white checks.

Can You Spot The Serb (Race)?

Out of work Serbian prostitute from town of Чока, Serbia, or a Cuban Marxist inspired anti-Disney, "Down with Democracy" photoshoot? (Answer to this puzzling question and the rest at bottom of page)

*( For those who inadvertently arrived here searching for the latest Serbian infotainment news, click HERE)

This was kind of fun to do, some of the photos during my search this past hour almost made me laugh my head off.  Anyway, this one is related to a previous post which you can read HERE..  The point of this game is to spot the Serb, or find the Serbian race if you will.  (I decided to not put photos next to each other, or any photos of Croatians. So I can't be accused of only putting good looking Croatians vis-a-vis homely Serbs) Again, this is solely in regards to the afforementioned "Serb race" business that I've touched upon previously a few times. Directly related to what many, many Serbian nationalists believe.  Just as an example...see Serbian national anthem HERE.  Probably this previous post will give some more information as well HERE.

This isn't going to be an anthropolgy or genetics lesson, about Halblogroups, Haplotypes, DNA, blood types, Y-chromosones, ear sizes etc and so on.   You can google those terms below if you're really into it.  For the longest time though, it was believed by scholars that there are basically 5 different races. Some scholars had slightly different ideas with the addition of more. However, never,  not even once,  was it mentioned or did discussion revolve about a Serb race last time I checked.

Now, from there you get even more different European sub-classifications of the races of well. You got your Slavic, Tuetonic, Mediterranean, Alpine, Dinaric etc. But nowhere, never, did I come across a "Serb race".    Even to this day, this "Serb race"talk is a big part of the Serb psyche, and I've come across some "chat" sites where some are totally obsessed with it.  The wars of Serbian aggression in the former Yugoland was based upon this premise. One of the big selling points of Serbdom. "Serb lands!"  "Serbs all and everywhere!"  "To the Serbian sea!"....bla bla bla....(Although truthfully, "Serb shitfuckery everywhere!" or "Non-Serb Lands!" is more like it)   This post is just a short example to get my point across and to see the absurdity of this disordered way of thinking.  Like I said before, I looked into this a long time ago, came across many sites with lots of discussion about this topic, and with so many Turkish influences into their language, cultural life and gene pool from centuries of Ottoman empire rule, that if it weren't for the Serbian church...(Everyone who was incorporated for whatever reason into it, is automatically a member of the Serb race remember, and there was lots of population shifts and people movement during those 400 years) ...would Serbs really even exist?

As I sait and thought about this, I could have really had fun with this, maybe even really messed some peoples minds a bit,  but this is just to get my point across in an interesting, interactive way.  ( I really enjoyed checking out the various womens model sites though, checking out all the pics and poses)  Some of the photos below are well known people, so those might be the easy ones. With a couple I used some inventive description to make a few of the pics more interesting, so just focus on the persons ethnicity.  The correct answers to each photo are at the very bottom. (And yes I checked and verified beforehand) Good luck! But most of all have fun folks!.....
