The 2010 DORF Documentary Rock Film Festival - March 4-7th











I unfortunately wont be able to attend this event, but since I have a fair amount of Croatian and European readers visiting my blog, maybe this will be of interest to them. The DORF Documentary Rock-Film Festival is a 4 day event being held in 3 cities this March 4th to 7th. The festival was only started in 2007 and is gaining popularity with visitors attending from throughout Croatia. It seems like a pretty cool event to have a good time, meet new people with the same interests, listen to new bands and see some interesting films. It's taking place this year in the cities of Zagreb, Vinkovci and Rijeka. I hope this event gets bigger every year and becomes more popular. There are a lot of independent film makers out there that need festivals like this to show and bring exposure to their films. Documentary rock-film festival from 4 to 7 March in three cities

The DORF 2010 documentary rock-film festival will be held from 4 to 7 March in Vinkovci, Zagreb and Rijeka.

Festival organizer RARE, an association of film fans, said the festival would show documentary music films from eight countries this year.

It will feature 21 films chosen by this year’s selector Leon Rizmaul among films from Croatia, Slovenia, Germany, Morocco, the UK, Bulgaria and the Netherlands.

The opening ceremony will feature the screening of "Oil City Confidential," a film by Julien Temple about UK pop rock band "Dr. Feelgood".

The special festival guest will be David Kleijwegt from the Netherlands, who will show his two films "Eternal Children" and "Low - You may need a murderer".

German Peter Braatz will receive special recognition for his work.
