High-Jump Phenomenon Vlasic Wins Yet Another Gold

Croatian high-jump star Blanka Vlasic has added to her collection of gold medals with her latest win at the 20th European Athletics Championship in Barcelona.

Holder of the second best jump of all time and current double world champion (in the open and indoors), Vlasic needed only the European gold to complete her portfolio of prizes, the Croatian news portal Index writes.

After a rocky start, Vlasic rocketed to the top with an impressive 2.03 meter-jump.

Silver medal went to Ema Green and the bronze to Ariana Friedrich.

Blanka won her first senior medal in 2004 World Indoor Championship in Budapest where she came third. Two years after at the World Indoor Championship in Moscow she came in second, and in 2007 in Osaka and 2008 in Valencia she won gold.

Vlasic was a silver medalist at the Olympic Games in Beijing and winner of another gold at the World Championship in Berlin last year.

I also thought I would throw in this short commercial clip featuring Blanka from last year. DAJ 5 (Give 5) is a humanitarian initiative for helping JIL (unit of emergency care) - child care KBO in Osijek,Croatia. This is the first of four TVC's and it comes in 30 sec version followed by the 15 sec version. Shooting took part in Split on Bacvice beach in the early  hours.
