Pulse Of The City - ZAGREB

his is pretty cool. A short video that was 2 years in the making, involving photographs, timelapse photography and some visual effects, with the backdrop of some cool electronic music. It really packs a punch in showing a variety of everyday scenes in Croatia's capital city of Zagreb. Sort of similar to a previous post HERE which used similar techniques in showing the city of Osijek.

I really like the mixing of the images of the historic old world parts of the city, buidings and architecture with more modern street and urban life/night scenes.  The closest comparable city around here, having a mix of new urban life with the old world architecture and cobbled street charm, I think would be the city of Montreal, especially "Old Montreal".  You go downtown Zagreb even at night in the summers especially,  and it's huge filled patios after patios, bars and pubs tucked in between the cool facades or old gothic style buildings., and street performers even. (When I landed there last summer in late afternoon, I dropped off my luggage, and...well...long story short....Spanish girl and her friends, "Klub Purgeraj" and I didn't get home until 4 in the morning)  A big departure from Cowtown where if you go downtown at night you'll probably get invited to one of those Lemon parties.  Man, I never get sick of visiting Zagreb.
