Photos Of The Day: Croatian Newlyweds Jump Off Cliff

This has been floating around the internet and on blogs the last  few days, so when the Huffington Post decides pick up the story, I might as well too. This gets kudos from me, something different from the typical ho-hum photos one usually see's after a couple tie the knot.  (Going to the park, flower gardens, double exposure pics with wine glasses, flowers and candles..etc).. In Calgary lots of newlyweds for some strange reason like to have their photos taken with this popular downtown statue. (Really they do, seen it quite a few times actually)  It's supposedly named "The Conversation", I don't know who the men are or what they're names are.  I call them "Ernie & Bert", or "Before The Lemon Party"....(Some people use their images on tshirts for the local gas/oil pedo chapter)...As for these particular photos, they were taken at the Adriatic coastal area of Duče, which is near the town of Omiš.  However, my only addition to this particular story?... I used to jump from lots of high cliffs as a kid here and when in Croatia, so I just might have gone with a higher cliff.  That's just me. Complete photogallery  HERE.

When some couples decide to get married, they really take the plunge.

A pair of Croatian newlyweds were photographed as they jumped from a cliff into perfectly blue water while the groom wore a full tux, and the bride, her dress.

The photos, posted by Reddit user Misspelled_username, were taken by photojournalist Zvonimir Barisin. The photos were posted on Wednesday and garnered comments from Reddit users who showed concern for the bride's dress and her ability to swim wearing such a weighty frock.

Earlier this summer, another bride took a swim in her gown, though not so willingly. She and her entire bridal party fell into a lake when the dock they were standing on collapsed beneath them.
